Golden Serenity - Horseshoe Bend at Sunset
Horseshoe Bend is a stunning meander in the Colorado River, located near the town of Page, Arizona. The river forms a dramatic horseshoe-shaped curve through red rock cliffs, creating an impressive natural landscape. It's part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, just downstream from Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam.
The viewpoint is only a short, accessible hike from a parking lot, about 1.5 miles round trip. The best times to visit are during sunrise or sunset for optimal lighting and cooler temperatures, especially in summer. Photographers flock to the site for panoramic shots of the bend and the Colorado River below. It's one of the most iconic spots in the American Southwest.
