Supermoon Rise Behind the Graz Clock Tower
On November 5th, the night sky over Graz was lit by a spectacular supermoon — a phenomenon that occurs when the full moon coincides with its closest approach to Earth, making it appear larger and brighter than usual.
The idea to photograph it came to me rather spontaneously. While checking the moonrise direction, I realized it would line up perfectly with the Graz Clock Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. With little time to prepare, I grabbed my camera, found a good vantage point, and waited as the moon slowly climbed behind the tower. As it rose, glowing in soft golden tones against the evening sky, everything fell into place — timing, alignment, and a bit of luck — creating this unique shot of the supermoon crowning the Graz skyline.
