An Alpine Chapel Under the Aurora Borealis
On the night of May 10th, a massive solar storm hit the Earth, creating a spectacular Aurora Borealis over the skies of Europe, including Austria. This captivating phenomenon, also known as the Northern Lights, adorned the skies with vibrant hues of green, purple, and red, creating an otherworldly spectacle against the backdrop of the Austrian Alps.
As always, around the new moon, I was out this weekend and was able to capture the uniquely colored sky over the Alps at this small chapel on the Postalm, the largest Alpine pasture area in Austria.
